Information Collection & Use

Sitka collects customer information in an effort to improve our customers shopping experience, to communicate with our customers about our products, services and promotions, and to enhance and improve the performance and accuracy of our operations and website. We collect and store information that you enter into this Web site or that you provide to our Customer Service Department. We collect information such as your name, e-mail, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, and credit card numbers, that you provide to us when you place an order, when you save your information with us or when you participate in a sweepstakes, promotion or survey. Sitka may use your information collected online to process and fulfill your order. We also collect e-mail addresses at various locations within the site including when you order from the site so that we can send you any necessary e-mail messages related to your order such as an order confirmation notice, as well as send you other information that we believe may be of interest to you. Security

When ordering with us, we undertake steps to secure our customers personal information and credit card data. On Sitka.ca, we employ 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology that encrypts all of your private information when placing an order and transmitting that information to our systems to be processed. If you place an order through this website you will be asked to set up an account and provide an email address and password. You must provide an appropriate email address and password in order to access account information. In order to help protect your personal information further, you should be careful about providing your password to others. If you wish to cancel a password, or if you become aware of any loss, theft or unauthorized use of a password, please contact our Customer Service Department.

Visitor Options

If you have subscribed to one of our services, you may unsubscribe by clicking on an “unsubscribe” hyperlink contained within emails we send you. Additionally you may e-mail us at our Customer Service Department.

Please note that any request to be removed from such mailing lists may take up to one (1) week to become effective. Even if you are removed from any such list, if you order online, we will send you an email confirming your order and may need to contact you by phone, email, or regular mail if we have questions about your order.

Amendments

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, and the amended version will be posted on our website in place of the old version. We will also include the date that the currently displayed Privacy Policy took effect to help you determine whether there have been any changes since you last used our website.
